Website Upgrade Offer Terms

The scope, responsibilities and commercial boundaries for the $1,995.95 + GST Small Business Website Upgrade.

These terms are prepared for final New Zealand legal review before public launch. A project does not begin until Corporate Media Worx confirms qualification and both parties accept the project proposal.

1. Offer, price and qualification

The offer price is $1,995.95 + GST. It is available to up to 10 qualifying New Zealand businesses as a genuine capacity limit, not as a claim about places remaining. Applying does not guarantee acceptance.

Corporate Media Worx will confirm fit, scope and any project-specific requirements in writing before work begins.

2. Included scope

The standard scope is one responsive, professional website of up to 5 agreed content pages, an editable content-management setup, foundational SEO and AEO structure, a contact form, SSL setup, launch support and 6 months of managed hosting.

The final page list, platform, functions and deliverables must be recorded in the accepted project proposal. “Page” means a standard content page within the agreed design and functionality, not an unlimited template, workflow or application screen.

3. Deposit, invoicing and start

A 50% deposit is required to reserve capacity. Work does not begin until the deposit has been received in cleared funds. The remaining balance is due at the point stated in the accepted proposal and must be paid before production launch, ownership transfer or handover.

4. Client content, access and approvals

The client supplies accurate final text, authorised images and brand assets, access credentials and feedback by the agreed dates unless the proposal states otherwise. The client confirms that supplied materials may lawfully be used. Delays in content, access, approvals or consolidated feedback may change the schedule.

5. Revisions and changes

One consolidated in-scope revision round is included. The client reviews the complete website and supplies one consolidated set of feedback within the agreed scope. Additional rounds, new pages, new functionality or structural changes require a separate written quote. Correcting defects or work that does not match the agreed scope does not consume the included revision round.

6. Exclusions

Unless expressly added to the accepted proposal, the offer excludes:

  • Logo design and full branding packages
  • Copywriting from scratch
  • Professional photography and video production
  • E-commerce
  • Online booking systems and membership portals
  • Advanced integrations and custom software development
  • Paid advertising management
  • Ongoing SEO, AEO or content campaigns
  • Domain registration and business email setup
  • Structural changes after approval
  • Pages beyond the five-page scope

7. Cancellation and earned-work reconciliation

If the client cancels after acceptance, the account is reconciled against work properly completed, approved project commitments and non-refundable third-party costs. Corporate Media Worx may retain the portion of the deposit covering those amounts.

If earned work and committed costs exceed the deposit, the additional balance may be invoiced up to the agreed project price unless extra work was separately approved. Any genuinely unearned balance is refunded. If Corporate Media Worx cancels without client breach, unearned amounts are refunded. Nothing in these terms removes remedies that legally apply when either party seriously breaches the agreement.

8. Hosting after six months

The included hosting period begins at production launch. After 6 months, managed hosting can continue from $49/month + GST, subject to the agreed hosting scope and then-current proposal, or the client can arrange a transfer. Domain registration, business email and third-party subscriptions are not included unless stated in writing.

9. Ownership, licences and transfer

The client continues to own content and assets they supplied. After all invoices are paid in cleared funds, the client owns the final approved bespoke website deliverables identified as client deliverables in the project scope.

Corporate Media Worx retains ownership of pre-existing intellectual property, reusable components and frameworks, templates, tools, methods, workflows and general technical knowledge. Third-party software, themes, fonts, media and services remain subject to their respective licences.

Reasonable exports and credentials are provided after full payment where technically and legally permitted. Migration to another provider, compatibility work and third-party transfer costs are separately scoped. Working files and source materials not identified as client deliverables are not transferred automatically.

10. Search, AEO and third-party outcomes

SEO and AEO work improves technical foundations, content clarity, structured information and entity understanding. Search rankings, traffic, enquiries, AI citations and recommendations depend on third-party systems and other factors outside Corporate Media Worx’s control and are not guaranteed.

11. Relationship to the project proposal

These terms describe the standard public offer. The accepted project proposal confirms the client, final scope, schedule, deliverables and payment dates. If a signed proposal expressly changes one of these terms, that express project-specific change applies. The general Terms of Service also apply to matters not addressed here.
